Services We Offer

We offer a variety of services that not everyone knows about. Here’s a bit of a description of what we do:

Technical Support

If you are experiencing any kind of technical issue or if you find a bug with any software we provide you can contact us and we’ll try our best to get everything working as it’s intended to! Just give us a shout using our General Support Form, you can or you can call us at 407-823-0407 if your problem is time sensitive.

Course Development Support

Until recently, IDL6543 certified faculty had to contact a separate team called the Instructional Design Assistants for course development assistance. If you are an IDL6543 certified faculty member, you now have one point of contact for anything you might need help with. If you need us to create content for your course, type it up in a Microsoft Word document following our Document Formatting Guidelines and submit it to us with our Document Submission Form. We can also create a quiz for you if you type it up with Quiz Formatting Guidelines and submit it to us with our Quiz Submission Form.

Training Documentation

We create documentation as needed and host it right here on our website in our Documentation Database. Whether you are a student or a faculty member, all you need to do is type a few keywords into a search form to find an answer to what you’re looking for.

For best results, avoid typing complete sentences and stick to keywords such as the tool you are using, the action you are trying to perform, or the exact text of any error messages you might be receiving.

Open Labs

Throughout each semester we try to hold a series of Open Labs where faculty can come to the Library to work on their courses and our support assistants are available for questions. Please try not to think of this as a one-on-one help session because there might be more faculty members present to work on their courses than there are support assistants to help. If you are looking for more one-on-one attention you can schedule a face-to-face session with us (based on the availability of staff) or if you are an IDL6543 certified faculty member you can always schedule a consultation with your instructional designer.

IDL6543 Assistance

During the face-to-face sessions of the IDL6543 professional development program, our support assistants are available to answer any questions the faculty may have. We also hold open labs for faculty who are specifically working on the Create Your Course Project and their IDL6543 materials.
